Who We Are

Growing up in a darkroom at an artist's studio made it seem like Amile was predestined to take up photography. Not jsut the location but the classical style of his father, artist and illustrator Bill Wilson, was an early influence on Amile who began helping develop negatives about the same time he began talking.

Instead of proceeding directly into photography, Amile initially chose a career path in the performing arts. He began acting professionally and in community theatres at age 10 and continued on to study theatre and dance in college. While at Belhaven University, Amile toured with professional dance companies in Europe and Asia as well as throughout the United States. It was during this time that Amile caught a vision for combining his artistic disciplines and began taking special care to study the art of dance photography.

Amile now works as a photographer and cinematographer traveling the United States (and a few international excursions here and there). As a photographer, his work has hung in the Kremlin in Moscow where he worked with TALK Dance Company on their Russian tour and has been featured in newspapers and magazines. His work in film has earned him much recognition including honors from the Pelican D'Or film festival (Best short - Zeitbombe - Cinematographer), the Berlin Film Festival (Official Selection - The Dynamiter - Producer) and others.
